Weekly Updates: 2/17 - 2/22

DUE TONIGHT: Listening Assignment 1 due on Google Classroom @ 11:59pm - all grades

Monday 17th: No School - President's Day

Tuesday 18th: Treble Select after school until 4:15

Tuesday & Wednesday 18th & 19th: Summer Camp Auditions @ George Fox Middle School. Show up between 5:30 & 7:30 pm on either day.

Thursday 20th: 7th grade after school rehearsal (8th grade on field trip to Gettysburg)

Friday 21st: ~7th & 8th grade retreat after school until 7pm

~Part checks due 11:59pm (6th grade - When I Am Silent [not Arirang, even though that's what the assignment calendar says], 7th & 8th grade - Turn the World Around)

Saturday 22nd: 7th & 8th grade retreat 1pm-5pm

Please read: I have had lots of students come to me with questions, concerns, etc. about the online assignments. I have done everything to assist them in finding success: I have recorded each of their parts separately so they can practice with it, I have recorded the parts together so they can hear what it will sound like with everyone else, I have given them assignment calendars, I have told them where to find another physical copy of the assignment calendar if they lose it, I uploaded the assignment calendar to the website files, I have put the events in the online calendar on the website, I have a large calendar in my room where they can look for assignments, I tell them about it in class, it shows up as something that is due ON google classroom. I feel there is not much more I can do, and it is SO FRUSTRATING to have them come to me with questions: not because they are genuinely confused, but because they just don't pay attention and take the "easy way out" and aren't trying to figure it out. I understand not all students have internet access at home - they know plenty in advance about the assignments so they can come to advisory and do the work on my set of chromebooks. Please assist your kids with taking responsibility for themselves in completing their work.
